He was an avid cook who loved spending time being creative in the kitchen, and you could always count on a delicious spread of his "walk by's" and "Scooby snacks" at Bourbeau house parties. He chose to live life at "maximum aggression," even after his cancer diagnosis, and his passion for life was clear to all who met him. He always had a smile and a kind word for anyone he met – yet a gift for busting chops. Left with decades of colorful memories are his siblings, Dawn (Rein) Brucker, Howie (Kathy) Fisher, Darin (Leslie) Fisher, Deven (Kara) Fisher, Raymone Bourbeau, Heidi Bourbeau, Renee Bourbeau, and Howie (Jane) Fisher sister-in-law, Mary Ann (Mike) Haskett and 17 nieces and nephews.ĭave was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Bourbeau parents-in-law, Robert and Mary Ann Tuers brother-in-law, Joseph Tuers and nephew, Daulton Fisher.Īnyone who knew Dave knows that he approached every day with optimism and enthusiasm. He was the loving son of parents, Betty Jo and Howard Fisher. He relished in his role as Poppy to Riley and Logan Soper and to Zoey Bourbeau. Left with a legacy of strong family values, integrity, humor, perseverance, and great tastes in music are his children, Damien (Vicky) Bourbeau, Victoria Bourbeau, and Christopher Soper. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Kim, who supported him in all his glory during his heyday, and looked after him during their last days together. He later had a prominent 38-year career at IBM in Poughkeepsie, where he retired as a Project Executive in 2015. He later played on the softball team at Red Rooster where he and his brothers, Howie, Deven, and Darin, batted in order and were nicknamed "Murderers' Row." His first job was a line cook at the Cup and Saucer alongside his Aunt Grace. Dave played basketball and baseball throughout his youth, continuing on to play for the F.D. Being the eldest was a dubious task but he was up for the challenge and led his siblings through a childhood of both adventure and misadventure. Hyde Park – David Raymond Bourbeau, 63, passed from this life on September 7th, 2021, after a courageous yearlong fight against glioblastoma brain cancer.ĭave was born on February 20, 1958, in Poughkeepsie, NY to Betty Jo Fisher and the late Raymond Bourbeau. ![]()
